Cheng Kee Beef Kway Teow 清记牛肉粿條

Block 203 Hougang Street 21 is located at the Hougang South Central and a minute's walk from Kovan MRT (NEL NE13) station.

Cheng Kee's beef noodles soup - pretty good still

The cincalok sauce (bottom) with shallots and vinegar was my favourite

Show me on mapThis stall used to be good and popular, lunch times saw long queues forming here. But it nows seems to have been handed over to employees or third party operators who continue to use the same name. Feedback has been that the standard has dropped much.
Update: I finally got round to eating this recently. Well, I've tried the previous version years back, of which I wasn't a big fan to start with, and found the latest quality to be quite good actually. I think the beef may not be as fresh (think pinkish-red) but the overall taste was in fact better than Ang Mo Kio Block 233's Hong Heng which I last tried not too long ago. I especially like the cincalok (fermented shrimps in brine) with shallots and lime/vinegar which you hardly find served by other such stalls. Lastly, the soup had a slight bitter tinge which I suppose comes from some of the herbs used.
